Daily Life in Slovakia - A Native's Perspective

What is your family like?:

"My mom is a stay-at-home mom who dedicated most of her life to taking care of others. She took care of her mom as well as my dad´s parents when they got ill. She is a very kind and loving peson who always puts others first. My dad might seem like a strict man when you first see him, but he is really the opposite. He was always up for any fun when we were kids. He worked for the Armed Forces and now he continues to work as an instructor in that field. I have one sibling - even though she is my twin sister, we neither look-alike, nor do we like the same things. She studied in Technical University and I study psychology."

How do you get around?:

"I get around by public transportation which works pretty well here in Slovakia. We have buses, trams and trolleybuses that take us anywhere in the city. Timetables are well scheduled, so there is a bus every few minutes depending on the location in the city as well as where you want to get, of course."

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

"I do not consider my choice of clothing very special or excentric. I like wearing jeans and basic T-shirts, sweaters and a purse or a small backpack depending on how much running around between work, school and other activities I need to do during the day. I do like wearing scarves in fall and winter very much. In summer I prefer shorts and tank tops or blouses to skirts or dresses."

What do you like to do in your free time?:

"In my freetime I like to spend time with my friends.
